PRACTICAL INFORMATION
● Background and justification
Faced with the increasing development of natural resource exploitation activities in African countries in general, and in Cameroon in particular, there appears to be a real lack or insufficiency of human resources qualified to master these new issues at the heart of development. This state of affairs seems to be exacerbated by the non-existence of cutting-edge training courses open to all on the continent, and particularly in Cameroon.
And yet, to achieve their objectives, governments, public companies and other private operators need to have sufficient, competent human resources at their disposal.
It therefore seems essential to set up short but highly specialized training courses to rapidly enable not only those human resources already mobilized to supervise, manage or monitor the exploitation of mining and petroleum resources on the one hand, and the production and marketing of energy on the other; but also anyone who might be interested in these strategic issues.
● Training objectives
The main objective of these training courses is to train staff from various backgrounds, or to strengthen the skills of some of them, so that they can master all mining and energy activity chains, both upstream and downstream.
They also aim to fill the gap in terms of training available in African states on mining and energy issues.
