is a modern research, consultancy and training center focusing on new themes in the socio-economic development of African states, in particular the exploitation of natural and energy resources. It is made up of researchers with solid expertise in natural resources law and policy, and in the legal structuring of public-private partnerships in the fields of energy, mining, industry and infrastructure. In particular, our experts and researchers will provide advice and assistance to domestic and foreign investors, sponsors and government entities in the legal structuring, management and development of their projects in Cameroon and Africa, with a particular focus on the OHADA zone.
CARNE was founded in 2022 by Dr. Maginnot ABANDA after several significant experiences in international research centers.
CARNE has a main office in Yaoundé, Cameroon, and correspondents in Africa, notably in Tunisia, Senegal, Uganda, DRC, Europe and America (Canada). An annex of the center is being set up in Bertoua to enable young researchers and assimilated from the University of Bertoua and the East region to benefit from the skills and capacities offered by this institution.

Our aim is to address development issues that are still unresolved in our countries, and to propose a different approach to research, ensuring that it serves the development of these countries.

CARNE's values are built around four pillars: competence, excellence, proactivity and scientific innovation in our services. Everything that fosters solid, fruitful professional relationships to respond agilely to our environment and have a positive impact on society.
