Jurist and Senior Researcher at CARNE

With a doctorate in public law from the Catholic University of Central Africa, Irène Ornéla is dedicated to research and teaching. In addition to pursuing topics related to her doctoral research, such as the rights of indigenous populations with regard to the exploitation of natural resources, environmental protection in the context of mining activities, or climate justice, she also explores other cross-cutting subjects related to security and democracy, essential factors in the sustainable exploitation of natural resources. She is also an associate lecturer at UCAC (Yaoundé-Ayene), where she teaches courses in mining law, African legal integration law and African legal integration law.
